Fabio Fazzi (born 1974) is a central figure in Asbestos City\u2019s independent music scene. He first emerged in the 1990s as a member of Sangha, a collective that helped define the city\u2019s early indie\u2011rock identity through its raw energy and collaborative spirit. After decades of experimentation within bands and side projects, Fazzi opened a new chapter in 2018 with the launch of his solo project, Fax.<\/p>\n

His debut album, My River<\/em> (2018), introduced a more introspective and atmospheric dimension to his work, blending guitar\u2011driven textures with subtle electronic undercurrents. It marked the beginning of a personal journey into sound design, emotional landscapes, and the tension between organic and synthetic elements.<\/p>\n

He continued this exploration with Harsh Communications<\/em> (2019), a record that examines the breakdown of dialogue in the digital age. Through fractured beats and cold electronic tones, Fazzi captured the discomfort of miscommunication and the growing distance between individuals. This thematic thread deepened in Shattered Worlds<\/em> (2020), where he expanded his palette with darker ambient layers and glitch\u2011infused structures, portraying a society increasingly fragmented and overwhelmed by noise.<\/p>\n

In Visions<\/em> (2023), Fazzi shifted toward a more cinematic approach. The album unfolds like a soundtrack to contemporary solitude, weaving slow\u2011burning melodies, suspended atmospheres, and minimal rhythms into a portrait of quiet inner worlds. With What Is Real<\/em> (2024), he ventured into more hypnagogic and distorted territories. Alongside his solo output, Fazzi has remained connected to his roots with Sangha.
